Breathe in the Wild

A Safari and Maasai Immersion Wellness Retreat

A Journey back to Yourself

— for those ready to slow down, reset, and reconnect.

There are moments when life demands something bigger than a break.

Not another weekend away.
Not another holiday.

You need something that resets you at the core.

Breathe in the Wild was created for that moment.

Set on Maasai land in Amboseli

-beneath the snow-capped presence of Mount Kilimanjaro

This retreat unfolds within one of Kenya’s most extraordinary landscapes. Vast plains, dry lake beds, and life-giving swamps create a sense of space and stillness shaped by light, wildlife, and time.

Amboseli is home to one of Africa’s most significant elephant populations, offering rare and respectful encounters as herds move across the land along ancient migration paths.

Here, life slows naturally. Presence replaces urgency. The horizon stretches wide, dust rises at sunset, and something within you softens and settles.

This is not about escaping life.
It is about remembering yourself when the noise falls away.

Rooted in Indigenous knowledge

- shaped through a long-term relationship

This is where the retreat deepens in a meaningful way.

A central part of Breathe in the Wild is time spent in relationship with a Maasai community connected to a primary school in the deep bush.

This invitation exists through years of trusted collaboration as one of the retreat facilitators has worked closely with the community over time. Because of this long-term relationship, you arrive not as a visitor, but as a welcomed guest.

The retreat is co-facilitated with an experienced Maasai guide who was born and raised on this land and is among the few Maasai to become a certified yoga instructor. Drawn to yoga for its ability to bring people together, he shares insights rooted in generations of lived experience, cultural knowledge, and a deep relationship with the land and wildlife.

Throughout the retreat, you will spend time in the bush with the local community. This includes visiting the primary school with over 100 Maasai students, practicing yoga in nature, sharing meals prepared over the fire, visiting Maasai homes, and joining guided bush walks to learn animal tracking and the traditional medicinal plants used for generations.

“Many participants describe these encounters as deeply emotional and perspective-shifting — reconnecting them to simplicity, gratitude and belonging.”

How your Days will unfold

Rather than fixed routines, the retreat follows a gentle, intentional rhythm — balancing experience, reflection, and rest.

An immersion of:

  • Safari experiences with local guides

  • Close wildlife encounters

  • Breathwork, meditation, and yoga in nature

  • Time spent at a Maasai primary school

  • Group sessions and shared reflection

  • Meaningful connection with the Maasai community

  • Rest by the pool with wildlife nearby

  • Spacious time for rest and reconnection

Participation is always optional.
You are invited, supported, and free to move at your own pace.

Participants often arrive carrying mental noise, emotional pressure or uncertainty about direction.

Freshly Prepared Kenyan Meals

All meals are prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, many gathered daily from the lodge gardens.

Meals are shared in a relaxed rhythm throughout the day — from quiet mornings to candle-lit evenings by the fire or beneath the stars. Dietary preferences are accommodated with care.

Your luxury Oasis in the Wild

The retreat is held at a 5-star a eco-award-winning safari lodge set within a private wildlife conservancy bordering Amboseli National Park.

Chosen for its calm, nurturing atmosphere, the lodge is surrounded by lush gardens, natural springs, and ancient acacia trees — a place where it becomes easy to slow down and fully settle into the retreat.

Wildlife gathers daily at the nearby waterhole. Elephants pass through at dusk. Birdsong carries through the air from sunrise to sunset.

The swimming pool offers a quiet place to float, rest, and be still.

Afternoons invite you to rest and integrate:

  • Time by the pool as wildlife approaches the water’s edge

  • Quiet reflection beneath shaded trees

  • Gentle integration between sessions

  • Sunset stillness as the day softens

Your suite is elegant, spacious, and deeply comfortable, with soft linens, en-suite privacy, and a private terrace opening onto the wild.

Refined comfort, deeply connected to nature.
A place where the body feels safe enough to finally soften.
